After the big birthday celebration we spent the rest of the week enjoying my family!...
My sisters and I went to "Hello, Dolly!" at the
Hale Center Theater while grandma & grandpa watched the kids.

Per Madisen's request we visited the children's section at the Church History museum.

We toured the Oquirrah Mountain Temple. It was beautiful! I enjoyed this tour a little better than the Draper tour- probably because it wasn't as crowded. My girls were most excited to see the oxen in the baptismal font.

I love this painting that was in the reception area at the conclusion of the tour.

And then it was time for the Dodds family reunion days. We went to Lagoon on the only sunny day that week! The girls were in HEAVEN! They rode every ride that was their size at least once. We didn't quit until 9:30- when Madisen got a little motion sick. Bill & I decided that we're getting old. We rode a few 'big kid' roller coasters but decided it was more fun to watch & ride with our children! Brooklyn, of course, was a trooper! She found herself in the Baby Bjorn, stroller & rotating between the adults.

Saturday it was pouring rain again so we spent the day at the Children's Discovery Museum at the Gateway. I didn't get any good pictures because I was too busy having fun with the girls.
It's a tradition that we receive a new book from my parents at our annual vacation. Before we get the new book we discuss our insights from the previous book. I love this tradition as it gives us something to have in common & is building our gospel library. We're excited to read "The Peacegiver" this year!
On Sunday morning before we headed home we got to visit Bill's Aunt Becky who lives close to my parents.

I heard the Peacegiver is so good. Kevin's dad gave us an audio CD of the book, but I would rather read it. You'll have to let me know what you think. I'm glad you had a fun time with your family. I'm sure you're happy that you got to spend a fun filled week with them since you are going to be further away form them soon.
