Yesterday just seemed to be a sad day for us- when I say 'us', I really mean the girls.
*Madisen was met with an early disappointment when she realized that she wasn't going to be able to decorate sugar cookies with some of her friends b/c so many people were sick.
*Caitlyn must be getting a tooth- she was quick to cry over ANYTHING.
-I gave her some pretzels instead of a graham cracker for snack time- she threw them on the ground.
-She was trying to be like Madisen who was laying on the kitchen floor. So she sat down & then proceeded to throw her body back to lay down, but ended up screaming b/c she hurt her head. She did the same thing again later when she didn't get something she wanted- once wasn't enough.
*I asked Madisen to pick up the water balloons that she threw all over the floor. She was kneeling on the ground & I was feeding Caitlyn when suddenly Madisen started to cry- the cry of pain. So I went to ask what had happened & she said "You hurt my feelings when you asked me to pick up the water balloons." Oh my!
*Caitlyn was wearing her dress up skirt & put a dress up shirt over her head & was walking around- she likes to walk around with things over her head, who knows why. Well, she waddled into the kitchen & must have slipped b/c I heard her start crying in pain. I quickly picked her up & it took a LONG time to calm her down. A few minutes later I noticed that she had a FAT LIP.
We're hoping that today is a little better. I have a feeling that it will be b/c the forecast is for 70 & play group at the park!

Oh the drama of little girls! I can totally relate. I am totally jealous of your 70 degree weather and play date at the park. That sounds fabulous! Have fun!
P.S. I LOVE the new pictures of the girls on your side bar. They are so cute! Oh, and I love the darker hair on you...I almost did the same thing myself, but chickened out. Yours looks great!
I love the "You hurt my feelings" story. Girls are wonderfully dramatic! At least they tell it like it is!
Sounds like these two cute girls need an extra hug and kiss.
Give them one from Grandma.
Oh Em-I almost called yesterday to see if you wanted me to take the girls and give you a break, but Mara refused to get dressed or anthing so we never got that far-I am sorry I should have called anyway- Days like that are so draining on a mom (the kids too.) I hope today is so much better for you! We are getting ready for the park right now. I keep forgetting to tell you- I LOVE the new pictures on your side bar! Darling!
Oh man. Some days are like that, huh? It's hard for Mommy not to fall into the sad mood too on days like that. Hope today is better!
I totally understand!! I love the hurt feelings thing.. Andrew is the same way! Hope today is better!
oh.. that is a SAD day! and I love that madisen gets her feelings hurt over being asked to clean up. I should try that sometime (it only works for girls, I am sure.
Ugh! I totally know what you're going through! Carter and Jensen cried about everything yesterday, too and wanted to be held most of the day. As it turns out, they both started to get fevers in the middle of the night...guess that explains the moodiness..for my boys anyway. Hope this gets better for you!
