I've made it a goal for myself to organize 1 play date a week for each child. I believe there are important lessons to be learned from playing with peers. Madisen had many play dates when she was 3 & continues to be quite a social bug. I wanted to make sure my not-so-confident Caitlyn had some opportunities to be out from Madisen's shadow. So... today while Madisen is at preschool Caitlyn has Molly over. The following conversations that I overheard made me smile.
C: Let's play house and I'll be the dad.
M: Why do you get to be the dad?
C: Because I have on some handsome clothes.
M: Honey, dinner's ready.
C: I don't want to eat dinner.
M: Not dinner, it's dessert.
C: Oh, I want that.
