On Friday morning we loaded everyone (well, except the 2 pregnant ladies) up on the bikes to ride to the Dana Point Harbor for some ice cream.
Caitlyn was super sad that she couldn't fit with the girls & it took a car ride to convince her that it would be just as fun to ride with Jackson & Max. (The random slide picture was taken at the park the next day.)The weather wasn't ideal- it was overcast on Friday & Saturday, but Sunday was picture perfect. We still managed to spend plenty of time playing on the beach and the guys were adventurous enough to take out the kayaks and boogie boards. Denett also braved the chilly & choppy water to try boogie boarding!
The kids didn't seem to mind the cold- they were still out all day- they rotated between swimsuits & clothes just loving the giant sandbox.
Saturday night we were feeling more alert and played a few more rounds of Scattergories followed by some card games.Bill planned a great BBQ for the birthday dinner. There were streamers, balloons, and party decor galore! Karlea (my sister-in-law) surprised me with the most delicious chocolate cherry cakes!! They were mini cakes-perfect for a couple- that she made & they looked & tasted professional!
Kevin impressed us with his breakfast making skills for conference Sunday. The kids were in heaven with pancakes & eggs.

That sounds like so much fun. Happy birthday again!
Yeah, we sure were some hardcore partiers that first night - in bed by ten.
I loved the extra pics that you sent me by the way, thanks! I'm definitely keeping the one of my FACE when the COLD water hit me! Ahh...the beach...the fun...are we going back yet?!
