On Wednesday Madisen celebrated her 100th day of school. The children were encouraged to dress like old people for their parade. Madisen came up with her own ensemble: jeans and a white shirt, wearing a 100's day sign with a bun and glitter spray in her hair. She didn't even want to hold a cane which was OK with me. Dressing like an old person seemed a little abstract, plus I think she was feeling a bit shy.

I got to help with some counting activities later in the day. I truly enjoyed being in the classroom and feeling useful! It reminded me of my teaching days- which I loved- but I feel grateful that the greatest teaching I get to do right now is in my own home!
Madisen brought home this writing activity and I had to document it.

In case you can't decipher it: I can eat 100 chocolate donuts. I can eat 100 M&M's. But not 100 pickles.

I agree with Madisen...no pickles for me either! But bring on the sugar. I cannot believe the weather you are having down there! CRAZY! When am I going to hear some news??
