A BIG Change

Bill & I have been unsettled with our baby's name since we brought her home. We both LOVE the name Paige, but haven't felt like it fit our little girl. It has taken us 3 WEEKS to decide to officially change it. (Yes, we are 2 of the most indecisive people you will ever meet!) After much deliberation we have decided to name her; drum-roll please..........

Brooklyn Paige

A few things about Brooklyn- 3 weeks old;
*Yes, she will have a middle name even though our other 2 do not. We just can't drop her 'original' name
*She is still a dream baby- sleeping most of the day away
*She is NOT a big fan of the car
*The binky is not a necessity to her (yet). She falls asleep with just a little bit of gentle bouncing or laying in her bed as long as she is swaddled.
*Brooklyn likes her tummy time- especially if she has a sister near to entertain her
*Last Friday she weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz.- she's already gained a full pound since she was released from the hospital

*****We have another friend who changed her daughter's name after she brought her home from the hospital..... Her 'original' name was also Paige. This was a few years ago... but what are the odds?

I love it! Both the name AND the fact that you changed it. What a great story to tell at her.... baptism, sweet sixteen birthday, wedding, over the hill party... everything!

well congratulations on the name change. I love both of those names. I hope you read this soon because I have a question for you. I could call, but i never get around to it until like 11 and i'm sure you are asleep. Anyway, the whole family is going to St. George for Memorial Day and we are going to drive to Vegas on Sunday. We were wondering if we could maybe meet you at a park or something so we can all see eachother. We are especially excited to see those 3 princesses of yours. Give me a call!

Kind of a coincidence, my aunt and uncle had a baby (22 years ago) and named her Elizabeth Paige. A few weeks after she was born, they changed her name to Paige Elizabeth! Funny. Brooklyn Paige is a beautiful name (and baby.)

As you might recall, Avery didn't have a name until she was 3 weeks old. So glad to have company! Also, if it makes you feel any better, my sister and her hubby changed their 4th child's name around 9 months. They had to change the Social Security card in addition to all those other things (birth cert, blessing, records, etc). Plus, their 3rd child (1st girl) didn't have a name for a couple weeks either.
It's a HARD decision, and I hear ya on being indecisive! Love her name.

My sis in law did the same thing with her little boy. You have to do what feels right. I love the name Brooklyn as well. She is such a cutie!

I think that Brooklyn is also a beautiful name. Don't worry about your other girls not having a middle name. They will each make one up on their own! My girls have. Just remember Tiffany June Loveridge Dodds. It's only a name!

Both names are awesome but I'm impressed you changed it after 3 weeks! But better than not liking her name... She's a cutie.
