Number 2

We feel so lucky to have Caitlyn as our #2! (I can't believe that in just over 2 weeks she'll be 18 months!) She's funny, feisty, and not going to be pushed around or outdone by her older sister. Her personality and language are exploding right now! She NEVER ceases to amaze me with the things she says and tries to do. Caitlyn's a real monkey and I'm pleasantly surprised she hasn't tipped over on one of our kitchen chairs yet. She pushes them over to 'help' me cook and wash the dishes but likes to turn and lean on the back. My heart nearly stops every time & I quickly turn them so the back is against the counter. (If I had my camera I'd get a picture.)

(These pictures were taken with my friend Jen's camera. Ours is still MIA.)

I just LoVe this picture of her trying to climb into the snake sand pit.
Although she's rather independent, Caitlyn is still a mamma's girl- and it's usually very flattering.
Caitlyn and her 'buddy' Kiera.

A few fun facts about Cailtyn:
*She lights up when she sees her peers- we've taught her to call them her 'buddies'.
*She wants to be just like Madisen and do everything she does: jumping on the tramp, 'helping' me cook dinner, ride a bike, push a stroller while wearing dress ups, high heels and holding a purse on her arm, and the other day she was walking on her tip-toes when Madisen noticed and exclaimed, "Mom she does want to be JUST like me!"
*She FINALLY loves her bed time dolly! I have given both of my girls a dolly that is just for their cribs. This is so they have something for comfort when we take the binky away. Until this week, Caitlyn hasn't really loved or cared much about hers. But this week we turned a corner and I'm so relieved.
*Her latest phrase that turned my friends' head was "Dink a wata"
*Some of her other favorite words are:
go (said as she pushes someone away from her or her toy)
meiwk (translated to milk)
side (when she wants to go outside)
mine
O-tay (that's my personal favorite)
*The other day she walked into the kitchen and said "hunry"
*Today she was cursed with a 12 hour flu bug (Yep- 12 hours exactly!). We were supposed to go to the park this morning and when I told Madisen that we couldn't go b/c Caitlyn was sick & throwing up she sincerely & sweetly turned to Caitlyn and asked, "Caitlyn do you want to go to the park today?" Caitlyn nodded her head. So Madisen continued while stroking her hand, "Then you have to stop throwing up so we can go, okay?" And Caitlyn answered with, "O-tay". I had to chuckle at this sweet conversation and wished it was only that easy!

I think it's hilarious when she says "moy". She's such a doll. I can't believe she is almost 18 months. It seems like she was just born!

So cute! I know I used to follow my sister around and copy EVERYTHING she did. It drove her nuts...I'm glad Madisen is a much more tolerant sister! Your girls are beautiful!!

So cute! I'm pretty partial to "second" children since I'm one myself. I love the last story about Madisen asking Caitlyn if she wants to go to the park. I laughed out loud on that one. I can't wait for Chloe's sister to arrive. Hopefully they are good friends like your two girls.

We didn't ed up driving through Vegas when we moved, but I'm sure we will on the way back to UT. We'd love to see you guys!
