William- Day 2

Day 2 of Williams life started out pretty typical; nurses and doctors in and out taking vital signs, checking in, etc. However when Williams billirubin levels jumped from 6 to 9 in 1 hour it was off to the light box for our boy. The girls were jaundice also- at varying levels- but he's the first to spend his 2nd day of life in a light box right next to mom.
William was only allowed out of the lights to eat and have his diaper changed. I had four sweet friends drop by that day who just got to admire our newborn from a distance. But they were sweet enough to stay and visit with me anyway! Luckily, grandpa showed up just as he finished eating so he got to have a quick hug before he went back to the tanning booth.
The girls came up for a visit after Madisen got out of school. They were even more adoring than the first night. Probably because it was a reality that baby brother had finally arrived.

Brooklyn has the most expressive eyes! They speak volumes for her when she's too shy or unable to speak what's on her mind. I just love this picture of her trying to figure out what to do with this baby.
