6:32- wake up and realize that I forgot to get Madisen's contribution to her class fruit salad for today (10 strawberries)
6:33- pull Madisen out of bed and convince her it's time to get ready for school; teeth, dressed, hair, potty, shoes, backpack, locate a sweater, fill water bottle, eat breakfast- chewing her last bites as she runs to catch the bus at 7:00
7:00- feed Caitlyn and myself
7:10- pack Madisen's lunch; label a bag for strawberries and pack a knife
7:25- snuggle with Caitlyn in her bed, it was a chilly morning
7:30- jump in the shower
7:40- get out to get myself, Caitlyn & Brooklyn ready (including sorting through a box of shoes to find some that would fit Caitlyn's growing foot)
8:30- heat up some breakfast for Brooklyn while Caitlyn hides Easter eggs in backyard for playgroup
8:40- head to Kroger for some strawberries
8:59- arrive at Caitlyn's preschool, borrow Haley's sink to cut the strawberries- with the knife I brought
9:10- drive to Madisen's school to drop off lunch and strawberries
9:30- pull back in driveway, just in time for Brooklyn's 3 playgroup friends to join us.
Phew! Is it only 9:30?
Fast forward
3:30- Madisen gets off the bus.
Me: How was school?
M: Great.
Me: How was the fruit salad?
M: Oh, I didn't eat any.
Me: Why not?
M: Because there were plums in there and I don't like plums.
Me: Oh. Why didn't you just pick out the plums?
M: My teacher peeled them so I couldn't tell which ones they were.
Me: Oh. Did you know that I went to the store this morning to make sure you had some strawberries. Why didn't you just eat the strawberries?
M: I didn't want to have the fruit all mixed. So I had fruit loops instead. Can I have some strawberries now?

Ha ha ha! Isn't life exciting!?
that is so funny......... I feel like it is so much work to get ready and go anywhere especially for the little things in life that are SUPPOSE to mean the world to our kiddos and prove that we can still pull it together for them and pull through.......... the day will come that they WILL notice! love you and hope you are hanging in (and out) there!
And you're what 8 or 9 months pregnant doing all of this? What an exhausting morning for you, I'm sure!
Emilee-
I went to vegas last week and thought of you and the fun we used to have. I see that you are pregnant again. That is awesome! We have been looking for someone for Meg to take piano with and still haven't found anyone. We miss your excellent piano teaching skills. :)
