A busy week

*The day after we returned from our trip to UT was the annual Blue & Gold Banquet for the Cub Scouts in our ward. I got to help with the decorations, etc. We have a CREATIVE scout leader who wanted to make sure that is very thorough! The gym was transformed into a Route 66 theme for the evening. We had dinner in a 50's Diner, complete with a rollerblading hostess!Bill & the girls sat at the Texas table with the Walkers while Denett & I worked at the Soda Shoppe. No scouting event is complete without a few games, cheers, and awards. Bill won first place for his age group on the snake game. (He had to eat a Twizzler's Pull-N-Peel licorice & swallow it without using any hands.)There was even a photo-op for families. The pictures were printed there & placed in these frames. (This is a picture of a picture b/c our scanner doesn't work.) The evening was a HUGE success! I love being a tiny part of scouting... even if I come from a family of all girls & have only girls... it's fun for us to see what the boys are up to!

*Wednesday was a preschool make-up day for Madisen.

*Thursday was a day full of doctor appointments for mom. I had a follow-up ultrasound in the morning & got to see our little girl again. She is really looking like a person now, she's exactly 4 pounds and I have 9 weeks to go. It was neat to watch her moving on the screen & to know that she is healthy!

*Today we went to the park- it was such a beautiful, sunny (70 degree) day. But of course, as the afternoon progressed the wind picked up. Madisen & I came away with our first sunburns of the season.

This evening while I was playing with the girls in the family room I noticed that Caitlyn needed a tissue. I asked her to go get one in the bathroom. She dutifully obeyed & returned with some toilet paper. I attempted to help her wipe her nose, but she insisted on doing it herself. (Big surprise!) Then she disappeared into the bathroom- for a trip to the trash, I thought- for quite a while. When I asked her what she was doing she responded, "I putting it in there mom." I went in to find this:Yep, she was indeed putting it in there- the entire remaining part of the toilet paper roll was now in the toilet. Carefully placed in there one piece at a time by the girl in the corner with big brown eyes!

You got some great photos! Thanks for helping out! You guys were a hit! And I'm glad that my kids aren't the only ones to unroll a whole roll of t.p. recently!

The scouting thing looks like so much fun. I think the toilet paper in the toilet is a rite of passage for kids.

How ironic. Kaden for the first time was in the bathroom a little too long the other day and put the WHOLE ROLL of TP in the toilet. All these kids think alike!
